Text Codecs is a focused collection of encoders, decoders, and classic ciphers: Base32/58/85, hex, binary, octal, URL and HTML escaping, plus Atbash, Caesar, Morse, Braille, NATO phonetic, A1Z26, Pig Latin, leetspeak, upside-down text, and Unicode escapes. They are equally at home in a developer’s workflow, a puzzle hunt, or a classroom.
There is an important distinction running through the category. Encodings (Base64, hex, URL) are reversible representations with no secret — anyone can decode them; their job is safe transport, not privacy. Classic ciphers (Caesar, Atbash, Vigenère) do transform meaning, but they are historical and trivially broken, so they belong to learning and recreation rather than real security. Knowing which is which is the whole point, and these tools let you experiment with both instantly and entirely in your browser.
