Call forwarding

Code Purpose
*72 Activate call forwarding — dial then the destination number
*73 Deactivate call forwarding
*90 Busy forwarding — activate
*91 Busy forwarding — deactivate
*92 No-answer forwarding — activate
*93 No-answer forwarding — deactivate

Caller ID

Code Purpose
*67 Block caller ID for this call
*82 Unblock caller ID for this call
*69 Call last inbound number (call return)
*57 Call trace (trap threatening calls)
*60 Call block (selective)
*80 Call block — deactivate

Voicemail / call waiting

Code Purpose
*70 Disable call waiting for this call
*98 Access voicemail (Verizon / many carriers)
*86 Access voicemail (Bell Canada, others)
*611 Call carrier customer service (mobile)

Mobile GSM codes

Code Purpose
*#06# Show IMEI
##002# Cancel all call-forwarding
*#21# Check call-forwarding status
*#62# Check forwarding when unreachable

Notes

  • Dial star code first, then number (without pause). Some systems use # instead of *.
  • In the EU and many other regions, # and * combinations vary — check your carrier.
